April 1, 2009 - Linden, New Jersey - Conoco-Phillips Signs Master Services Agreement annual contract with HazTek, Inc. for Safety Support Services at their Bayway Refinery in Linden, New Jersey. Some of the Safety Support Services at this facility will include safety training and consulting.
Bayway Refinery is a refining facility located in Linden, New Jersey and Elizabeth, New Jersey, owned by ConocoPhillips. This is the northernmost refinery on the East Coast of the United States. The oil refinery converts crude oil (supplied by tanker from the North Sea, Canada and West Africa) into gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, and heating oil. As of 2007, the facility processed approximately 238,000 bbl/d (37,800 m³/d) barrels per day (BPD) of crude oil, producing 145,000 bbl/d (23,100 m³/d) of gasoline and 110,000 bbl/d (17,000 m³/d) of distillates. Its products are delivered to East Coast customers via pipeline transport, barges, railcars and tank trucks.[1] The facility also houses a petrochemical plant which produces lubricants and additives and a polypropylene plant which produces over 775 million pounds per year of polypropylene.[1] The refinery has its own railway container terminal and heliport.*
