Written Health and Safety Programs

A comprehensive written Health and Safety Plan (HASP) is a critical part of an overall Health and Safety Management Program. The HASP is a detailed, organized document that outlines the policies, procedures and responsibilities of employees, management and ownership with regard to preserving safety and health in the workplace.

Since most businesses are required to have a HASP by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), they provide a wide range of helpful information and guidelines on how to create and implement an effective program to lower accident and illness rates at your workplace. A sample Safety and Health Program for Small Business can be found on OSHA’s website at http://www.osha.gov/SLTC/etools/safetyhealth/mod2_sample_sh_program.html. Full details on a Health and Safety Management Program can be found at: http://www.osha.gov/SLTC/etools/safetyhealth/mod4_tools.html.

Don’t have the time or resources to make your own HASP? HazTek, Inc. can quickly and easily design a customized, compliant HASP according to your needs: corporate, site-specific, multi-facility, heavy construction, industrial and digital format for submission into contractor qualification databases such as ISNetworld, PICS and others. We also offer full application support and maintenance services for the ISNetworld and PICS contractor qualification databases so your company can get working right away.
