    HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response)

    Course Description

    This training covers everything required in 29 CFR 1910.120, such as hazardous chemicals, improving the safety of workers, and how OSHA regulations affect you. This course is ideal for workers involved in clean-up operations (both required and voluntary). It is also designed for workers in emergency response operations and those who deal with storage, disposal or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste. Trainees must have additional training in donning, doffing and use of the personal protective equipment (PPE) required where they work. They must also get 40 hours of initial training before their first shift at the site, and at least three days of supervised experience in the field. The field experience is the responsibility of the employer/place of business.
